BEST International Chain Hotel in Taiyuan

This hotel provides all the services and facilities you would expect from the Accor Hotel flagship brand: Pullman. High quality rooms and a great indoor swimming pool. English speaking reception staff, even if you arrive late at night (most appreciated!). International TV Channels (CNN) but no BBC. Hotel located opposite a major shopping mall with western fast food (KFC) and global brands eg; Adidas & Nike. However, you should know the hotel is not in the city centre. Downtown attractions are about 15 to 20 mins away by taxi. About 30 mins from the airport & high speed rail by taxi. Also there is a very major highway/road on one side of the hotel. Low floor rooms on the highway side may experience some limited traffic noise from the large number of trucks using this road. Overall, I highly recommended this hotel. The concierge provided excellent service.

The hotel feels very new and high-end. Staffs were very helpful and friendly. The pool is amazing. I stayed in a standard room but everything was well equipped and the room was very spacious. The only complaint is that the location seems to be only average.

I stayed a total of 23 weeks at this Hotel this year and cannot in as many words explain how wonderful the entire expierance was. There are many hotels you could stay at in Taiyuan but without a doubt this hotel is the absolute best.
I could tell you so many stories about how wonderful the staff is and all the personal attention they gave to me and ALL there guests. I stayed there long enough to trully become part of the Pullman family.
I travel alot around the world and take it from me , there are always problems at any hotel but how they deal with this is how you can seperate those average hotels from those that get the "Exellent" reviews.

from your operator to room service staff
with mandarin you still were so lost and didn’t care about the service that you deliver
geeeez can you at least know your products? like saying 我們沒有白米飯
is not going to help
operator has no idea what they are talking about they were gonna extend me out to concierge .... i was talking about food take away oh my god
i am so done with this hotel
stay at another hotel if you can
at least somewhere ppl got some normal mentality
GETTING IT RIGHT- FIRST TIME.

Every good hotel knows, or should know, that it is the big and little things that make their hotel great or just another sleep joint. The big things, decor, atmosphere, ambiance, food, drink, beds, cleanliness, facilities, etc can be managed. It is the little things that make the difference, and they are the myriad messages that guests pick up subtly from staff at every level- smiles, eye contact, confidence, happiness, helpfulness, ''welcome to our hotel'', ''thank you for coming'', ''we want to see you again'' etc. These are not easily managed, but make all the difference.
Pullman hotel Taiyuan has both these essentials in abundance, and that is due in no small part to their excellent Front Office Manager- Ms Kelly Ding.Kely is a good Irish name so that explains her excellent personality.!! From the start of my visit to my check out her presence was everywhere, and I noticed she had the same rapport with all guests. This explains why all my experiences in this great hotel were enjoyable, and made me want to return. Everything in the hotel is excellent and gives one a chance to relax and unwind without the need to go else where.
