The staff were amazing! They went out of their way to make our stay spectacular. Super convenient to shopping at Home D pot, Office Depot, Sam's Club and Walmart. Also an easy can or bus ride to downtown and Playa Linda.
Our room was clean, ample size, quiet and great air conditioning!
no frills business hotel, clean and efficient

Friendly staff, clean room with all I needed for one night. There is a complementary breakfast included in the room rate, however, it is somewhat basic. If breakfast is important, there is a VIP restaurant just next to the hotel with a broader choice.
Nice Place for Overnight Stay

We were booked in at the local Holiday Inn Express but they screwed up our reservation and they were full but recommended Plaza Inn.
We were tired after a full day of traveling and agreed. We drove into a shopping plaza where the Inn is located. Hmmmmm....We continued. The front desk was very nice so we started to feel better but I soon realized that this was one of those Mexican hotels with no windows ..almost wrong....there was a large sliding glass door into a smalll private courtyard with a few palms. My wife was very happy as she is a smoker. The room was large and very clean well appointed with a great king bed. It was perfect for an overnight stay at about 2/3 the rate of the Holiday Inn. Further it was next door to a VIPS restaurant which was perfect for our frame of mind.
Low class "bussiness hotel"

A very sad room, with cheap furniture and a bad hard bed. Air conditioned did not wrok properly and free wifi only found a few metres away from the stairs, so unreachable from my room. No mini bar neither coffee machine at the room. Tiring illumination. The bathroom was, at least, suitable.
Staff to improve.
The continental breakfast included in the room price (900 pesos) was poor, so you rather walk a hundred metres and have breakfast at the close Vips.
There is no lift, so handicapped persons won't be able to get to the rooms.
The hotel is in a small shopping mall where you can find Aeromexico office, a bank, a supermarket, a fast food chinese restaurant and some other shops, plus relatively easy carpark space, and by the corner a department store, cinemas and other shops. Despite being far from Tapachula city centre, the location is not bad as taxis are cheap.
Despite the hotels choice in Tapachula is limited, i would not return to this hotel.
BEST Place to Stay in Tapachula

I stayed 7 nights with my girlfriend, to visit with her family in nearby colonia of Las Vegas (as short walk from the hotel). The hotel is very comfortable and CLEAN. Staff is excellent and the front dest always has an attendant. This hotel is HALF the price of the Holiday Inn Hotel and definitely has a better location. All the Tapachula buses stop in front of this plaza and you don't have to cross the road (as you do at Holiday Inn). Plenty of inexpensive taxis in the plaza also, alongside the store, Aurorra (this store is an outlet of WalMart and has everything you will ever need to buy). The movie theater is right around the corner as well a Francia Dept. store and Chudraui store. The plaza itself has a bank ATM, and other shops. It's a comfortable area and easy to get around other places and downtown from here. It was around 180 pesos for a taxi from the airport to the hotel. I recommend this as the hotel to stay in Tapachula. We had an excellent hotel stay.
