Checked-in at 4am and got told I would only need to check out on the next day. At 2pm same day, get a call to the room asking if I'm leaving or staying and if so would need to make a payment for the day... Inexplicable. Refused to let me speak to a manager. No warm water in the room and wifi was down the whole time.

I have stayed in this motel a few times in the last year. It is very central, and it has a nice parking lot. The people are nice too. The receptionists usually do not speak English. In the past I gave them a better review, but at this time I must be more exigent since I noticed quite a few problems: 1. Cockroaches are all over the room (building) 2. The shower did not drain 3. The towels look like they have been around for 50 years All these being said, I need also to say that the price, about $20 per night, is reasonable for the place the motel is located in. I hope the owners and the managers read the review and try to correct the problems.
Convinient, but could improve

The motel clerk was nice. The rooms were relatively clean. The towels need changed. They look like they were used for the last 100 years. The first night was a Sunday and the disco across the street was so loud and noisy all night long. The next night was quiet. Ask for a room not at the street. The parking lot is good and very convenient. There is no AC, just a fan.

This motel rooms smells of mildew and single rooms very small. There is no AC in room. Bed sheets are cheap and come off during sleep. Bed(s) offer very basic comfort. Staff is frendly but don't speak english. However it's with in short walking distance to shopping and zona norte. Be careful of guest charges. For the price there are other hotels in area for a few more dollars are much much nicer. This motel is not recommend for those of you that desire space, comfort, and clean environment. Look elsewhere for your stay.

This is a budget hotel. Seems most places in Tijuana are rented by the hour, and pretty awful looking. This place seems to be catering for both budget and short-timers. Known as Hotel and Motel Diaz interchangeably it seems. The heart sign outside alludes to its clientele, and the rear courtyard is a typical American Psycho-style motel, with basic rooms you can drive-u to and load-up your dead bodies. Just behind the reception is a block of budget rooms. I stayed in 401, if you are claustrophobic then you might not like this place. No outside windows, just facing the corridor. If you have stayed in a Hong Kong guesthouse, its just like these. About 10sqm, small and clean bathroom, just enough room to shuffle around the bed if your feet are not as big as a clown's. The decor was ok, not worn, with a chest of drawers, ironing board (so my room was not for short-timers I assume), and a flat TV with a dozen channels. Few simple toiletries, shower, water was just ok. Only grumble is the towel was grey and a bit dank, but not smelly. Getting some clean white/fluffy/dry ones would be cool. Walk in price is M$230 for single, since the M$ dropped to 15 to USD its cheap. Location is perfect, just 20 metres from the arc. One reason i took this is cos i walked from San Diego, and a bit concerned about getting lost. SO i just followed the arc....which you can see for miles away. Dead easy. Staff are polite. Would recommend if you want to lock-in a budget hotel before arriving
