Hotel renovado e com excelentes condições para uma pausa
Hotel reabriu no verão de 2017 completamente restaurado. Foi modernizado mantendo a traça da arquitetura inicial, agradável e acolhedor. Os quartos têm ar condicionado, camas confortáveis e duche muito bom. Excelente piscina numa envolvente relaxante pois o hotel está situado num pinhal. A esplanada bar do hotel é muito agradável e a comida boa. Curiosidade » tem uma estação de carregamento para carros elétricos da marca Tesla. A Melhorar: Internet » Boa, mas desliga-se automaticamente com demasiada frequência. Pequeno Almoço » Fraco sem ovos estrelados ou mexidos. Acesso quartos » O hotel tem vários níveis e escadas o que torna difícil levar a bagagem para os quartos.
Way above expectations (even if the lighting is a bit off-putting)
Just off the A62 (and well-insulated so that you can't hear any traffic noise), this modern hotel is a great stop off on the way to from the ferry at Santander. And it's pet-friendly! There was a glitch over our reservation but the extremely pleasant young lady at reception sorted it out - although it took a couple of iterations. All of the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Nice bar with a fire. The table d'hote was excellent. We'll definitely be back.
A Hot experience
As much as posible we try to stay in a Parador. But this one, upon our arrival to our room, as soon a we opened the door, heat came rushing out! I attempted to turn on the AC, but was inoperable. When I contacted the front desk, I was told that at night it will cool off and she recommended to turn off the heater. There was no heater on, and what about from the time we arrive until that late night cool off? We could not stay in our room. It was not until about 9:15 pm we started getting a cool breeze into our room.
Stayed here many years ago and had my reservations as the food was appalling, but thought we’d give it another go as it had seemed to be renovated. It had been. Modern, had a nice apartment for our family of 4. Nice pool, had to leave a deposit of €80 for 4 towels.... refunded, but really shouldn’t be as we’re guests. Pool big and well maintained, life guard spoke excellent English and was a nice chap. Receptionist was helpful. After my previous experience, decided to avoid the restaurant ( the steak I had on my last visit had no meat on it, was pure fat) we decided to eat in the bar area. Sadly Valladolid lost 2-0 to Levante that night, so the locals were all in watching. Bar staff were lovely, but brush up on your Spanish as none spoke English. Would stay again.
Nice place and handy stopover but restaurant/bar service very poor
Used the hotel for 2 nights as a stopover travelling back from Portugal. Great location and nice hotel. Pool is fab - be aware that it only opens 12 o’clock onwards midweek and 11 weekends. The issue is they don’t like English people. I speak Spanish well enough to converse and order food and drinks but they’ve walked off and left me when I’ve tried to order. Real attitude. There’s one helpful and friendly guy but there has not been one English word understood - we’re ok with that but the rudeness is not acceptable I’d rather they said we don’t like English guests.
