Hotel super bem localizado.

Pathetic shower
Avaliou em 10 de janeiro de 2023
I do not typically stay in budget accommodation abroad, but this place seemed ok, and I decided to give it a go. The room is satisfactory, and it is pleasant to have doors and windows that can be opened to enable fresh air to enter. Unfortunately, there are three problems: the bed, the shower, and the wardrobe. The wardrobe is altogether superfluous and not fit for purpose. The luggage stand is directly in front of the wardrobe, so if you have a suitcase on the shelf, it blocks any meaningful access to the wardrobe's interior; this is idiotic. There are also only two hotel hangers which I struggled to access, so I gave up. The bed is hard as a rock, and if I weren't so exhausted from traipsing around the city, I would have found it hard to get any sleep. The worst feature of the room is the shower. The flow rate is slow and the jets are weak, but the small interior of the shower enclosure is awful. It was just big enough to stand in; it was impossible to move around, bend over, and sponge myself down as it was too small. My motions were also repeatedly deactivating the shower handle. I had no choice but to sponge myself outside the shower enclosure over the bidet and then re-enter the compartment to rinse off. It was utterly impracticable, and if I had known about this, there is no way I would have booked this accommodation. The provision of towels and shower gel is entirely insufficient. You get one towel, a tiny bottle of dual shower gel, and shampoo. Having to ask for additional towels and shower gel is not something I want to do, and an adequate amount should be provided de rigueur. Housekeeping is only performed at a specific and narrow time window of the afternoon. One day, the receptionist telephoned me, asking if I wanted housekeeping. As I was eating, I asked if they could do it in half an hour. Not possible; unbelievable!

Friendly hotel in a great location

Booked this hotel following a recommendation from 'The Man in Seat 61' website for train travellers. It is situated opposite the Porta Susa station so could not have been more convenient. Also it is easy to reach the centre of the city on foot, walking through arcaded avenues. If you want to visit the National automobile museum just walk over to the station and take the metro to Lingotto. Plenty of places to eat in the area. Our favourites were Andrea's pizza and the nearby gelataria. Friendly helpful staff.
