Way too expensive for what it has to offer

I visited this place with my 4 year old son and wife for new years eve 2021.
On the down side: Old room amenities (sachet of coffee that went bad in 2011), the whole place is ghostly and extremely cold (they should really find a solution to this, the price you pay is high and one would expect heating at least in the breakfast area and rooms). Jacuzzi was luke warm, half empty, weak bubbles.
On the good side: Building is beautiful. Janitor EFRAIN is polite and professional, does what he can to help.
Overall the experience is not great, not coming back. The place feels abandoned.

The owner insisted that we go to her local bank and deposit cash in her account to pay for the room in advance, which was not a good start. When we arrived, the room type that we booked had been changed and we were forced to accept a lesser room. The room in which we stayed had cigarette holes in the furniture and no hot water - at least not after 10 minutes of running it in the shower and sink. The breakfast that was included in the price of the room was stale rolls, yogurt, over-ripe melon and instant coffee. While the hotel was billed as very child friendly, the balustrade (which was partially made of rebar) on the patio overlooking a 15 foot drop had spindles missing so that our child could climb through them and fall. He could move the entire balustrade at least 6 inches in either direction with little effort. Very dangerous. They position themselves as a natural oasis because there is a river below. This is an overpriced, low-end hotel serving cheap food that is masquerading as a peaceful oasis with hangings on the walls that say "Harmony" and "Tranquility." Perhaps most appalling was the way the staff was treated by the management. The staff were the only redeeming part of the experience and were clearly trying to make a proverbial silk hat out of a sow's ear. The other people we met in Valle were staying at other hotels were getting much more for the money in terms of amenities and natural beauty. Not worth the money.
A B&B... lacking in several aspects

We spent 2 nights there. The house layout is pretty and has a cozy quiet atmosphere but definitely needs maintenance: our room (#3) roof had humidity and some white powder was falling on the couch and decoration, constantly. We had to keep the shower running for at least 15mins to get not so warm water, but enough for not having a freezing shower. For an eco friendly place..it was not so.
WiFi was intermittent, sometimes worked, others not.
The first morning we got really scared because someone was picking through our window, apparently someone of the cleaning staff checking if we were still there....not cool at all
Finally breakfast below basic, if you do not drink milk, coffee or tea, then there is only water...
Although staff is friendly, you can see they are lacking a manager or some training on hospitality, cause clearly they do not have decision making power or the slightest idea on how to help you, despite they try.
In summary too expensive for what it is...
