Stay away from this hotel
We reserved two rooms for two nights, but for the first time left after the first night! The two tinny rooms were located in the upper floor, with an awful smell of sewerage, the water in the shower stopped in the middle of the shower (imagine standing there with shampoo on your head and waiting 10 minutes for the water to come back...), and the room was very cold. The only good point was the very nice breakfast. When we told the women at the reception that we are leaving after the first night and expect not to be charged on the second night, she refused, consulted with her manager and insisted to charge us. This is definitely not a 3 star hotel and not deserve the (fake?) reviews they received in Booking.com (8.7)!
My husband and stayed here for two night on a biking trip. What a lovely hotel this is! It is so quaint and charming and has been in the family for years. The statue sitting on the front steps if of the granny. The room we had was delightful and we had lunch and breakfasts both days---excellent quality. The granddaughter with the blonde hair was totally charming and went out of her way to ensure all the guests were happy. I would have no hesitation in suggesting this hotel. A little gem!
Night 2 of our Harley Davidson trip to St Tropez
Lovely hotel, its a little bit tired but very clean. Staff / owners were terrific & it is great value for money. Secure underground parking about 100 metres away which wasn't a problem. Food was typical regional cuisine & very nice. Not a problem with the measures for drinks. We had a great evening there with some German biker's who were also staying there. Definitely stay there again if we are in the area.
On our way in the Pyrenees we reached the beautiful town Vielha. Looking for a place to stay for the night we found this hotel. It was recommended by other tourists so we decided to stay there for the night. Being two couples we took two rooms. We stayed on the fourth floor. The hotel was nice . Seems like a family hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast was disappointing. Its location wad great.
The hotel is located on the main street of town, so moving around on foot is no problem (it's even recommended as traffic sometimes is rather heavy). The lobby is loaded with an endless number of things, ranging from an early model telephone and typewriter to local goods and art. The result is an overwhelming collection that gives a rather good vibe. The room we got was small; very small (for us, at least). The walls are about ½ a meter from each side of the bed. The room had one small window, overlooking another wall. Otherwise, the room is well maintained.
