Great stay and staff
Absolute loved our stay here. Rooms sizes and options were great. Room had plenty of towels which usually is an issue with a family of 4. Stayed 2 nights. First night our A/C wasn't working but Lydia R. at the front desk and Nick from Housekeeping went out of their way to get us in another room with a working A/C. Stay was great and we are planning a large family (20 people) vacation to the area next year and plan on booking rooms for everyone here!!!
Front desk check in,accommodations, maintenance
When I arrived I was greeted by Kanisha, I checked in at 4 pm. This Lady... can't rave enough about her, she is SOOOO friendly and nice. The check-in was swift and informative, she told me about and where the room was, gave me the wifi credentials and made sure that I was able to select my breakfast during my entire stay (they had bagged breakfast during the pandemic). So after getting to my room I took a shower and the water would not drain, I had a review request on my phone so of course, I stated that the shower wasn't draining, I think not even 30 minutes later my room phone rang it was Kanisha letting me know that the received the review and that she is sending maintenance over right away, mind you it was 9.30 at night, of course, I did not mind. They came and fixed the shower asap(even the maintenance is awesome). The next morning I advised Kanisha (mind you she worked till late on the night before was back at the front desk at 7 AM the next morning) that the bed and the pillows were uncomfortable, she made a note of it and advised me that as soon as the rooms are cleaned she will move me to another room. I mean how accommodating is that?! Kanisha rocks she loves her job and will go above and beyond for her Employer she definitely deserves a raise. Hopefully, when you check-in you will get to meet her!!!!!
Bill and Emily were very professional and friendly with organizing our church retreat. The conference room was very nice. The luncheon was delicious! The front desk staff was also very friendly and helpful.
Lack of food accommodations.
For this size of this resort, not having a restaurant on site was not convenient. They have a coffee shop that barely had more than a child's lemonade stand, not that fresh either. Bring your own food, snacks and drinks, cold sandwiches, or ones that can be heated up in the lobby, may have a line for the last one.
No working restaurant on site and OLD... Dingy rooms
We stayed here since it was the host hotel for a dance competition. The beds are small only Double beds.. headboards are sizes for queens but weirdly they are small..the lobby is pretty and updated. It rooms are ancient... old colonial from the 80’s?? Carpets were nasty... beds uncomfortable. Small TV- we woke up and sheets didn’t stay put and there was grossly no cover on mattress or mattress pad. Night twos stay staff came up and tried to fix it added a pad on top of the mattress and a newer fitted sheet. The staff is sweet- they know it’s in bad shape and about to Be renovated. Should have been way cheaper than $89..... too much for a 2 star quality room. None of the plugs outlets worked in the room. And NO Food!! No breakfast..the coffee pot didn’t work. And they didn’t replace cups on day 2.. Run away!!!
