Needs guest room upgrades
This hotel needs guest room upgrades. It fell short of my expectations when it comes to Hampton Inn. Hilton felt that a brand new Tru hotel within walking distance was of higher priority then upgrading this Hampton.
Would not stay here again!
The front guess service was in the car when i arrived. The air had a bad smell and the fridge or air made noise. The pool was empty with a pump and nasty water in it. Would not recommend anyone to choose this Hampton. There are other Hampton inns in the same area. I always choose Hampton as my place to stay when traveling or vacationing. I will not stop using Hampton just because of this one bad experience but someone needs to look at this one because it’s giving Hampton a bad name.
A Good Experience
I'm surprised at all the poor reviews. We had an excellent stay with friendly personnel, clean and comfortable room, and easy access from I81. We definitely plan to stay here again. They paid particular attention to covid 19 preventive details.
Rude manager - not recommended
The rooms were mediocre at best, but what made this experience even sourer was the attitude of one of the managers, Lynette (not sure if this is the spelling of her name). She was very rude when I requested a folio for my stay, raising her voice when answering my question. Said I had to call the third-party I booked with (other Hampton locations didn't have this problem by the way). I entertained her and called the third party booker knowing they cant possibly be the ones to provide me with a folio, and they confirmed that i was correct. I told her this and she continued to raise her voice and speak in such a mean tone that I would never recommend this place for anyone.
General Mgr. Toni was very rude, hotel was old and nasty, free breakfast was a sack breakfast, bottle water and nasty mu
we booked through Priceline.com, when we reached the hotel, Toni said he did not show anything being booked, I showed him the conformation for PriceLine and he said, he didn't have anything on it and I could pay for a room, I explained I had already paid, I told him I would call Priceline, Once I walked off to do so, My daughter was standing there with our luggage, and Toni rolled his eyes at me, once I had Priceline on the phone and they were trying to work with him to get me checked in, Toni was rude to them and when Priceline would call me back to tell me what was going on, which I was standing in the lobby, when I would turn around to hear what Priceline was saying, he rolled his eyes again at me, Priceline worked with him until he would agree to rerun, the payment card from them and it was approved, then we gave us our room keys and when we got to the door, they did not work, had to go back to him again, once we finally got in the room, it smelled, dust caked on the air conditioner vents, the next morning when we got ready to checkout, Toni's attitude was no better, and the free breakfast was a brown sack with a bottled water and a muffin, which was nasty, if we ever go back this way, we will not stay here, oh and I forgot to mention the dead mushed spider, when you walked in the entrance to the hotel
