This hotel is filthy and dilapidated. In the lobby: The rugs were soiled and worn out. The glass doors and windows were covered in fingerprints and greasy smears(the same ones day after day). The floor of the lobby and elevator were covered in dirt, pieces of food and bits of trash(also recognizably the same trash day after day). The leather on the chairs was torn and peeling. All the tables in the lobby and are where the food was served were dirty and had food on them. The woman who was "serving" the breakfast was sitting with her feet propped up in a chair with her kid and they were watching videos on her phone, just letting the mess pile up. In our room: the sink was dirty and crusty around the faucet, it very obviously had not been cleaned between guests. The floor of the bathroom had several large clumps of hair near the tub and around the toilet that were there the moment we walked in so definitely not ours. The microwave was dirty and smelled. The floor of the bedroom was sticky and made you feel like your feet/socks were dirty just from walking around in the room. We also booked a nonsmoking room and it was quite apparent that this room had been used as a smoking room as it imprinted a stale smoke smell on our clothes and belongings. I understand that things age with use but the utter lack of attention to cleanliness in this hotel as a whole is inexcusable. It was apparent that cleaning isn't a priority, nor had it been in a very long time. I can say with certainty that I will never stay here again and will be sure to post reviews on travel sites warning others as well.

I booked a last minute reservation due to a family emergency but accidentally booked for the wrong date. I called within minutes of booking to try to move the reservation however the front desk told me that they are not able to reschedule, only a manager can do that. The manager was not in at the time, it was about 11:00 pm, and I was advised to call back the next day at 7:30 am when the manager would be in. I called back the next day and was told that the manager was not in and they nobody knew when the manager would be back as they show up whenever they feel like it. OK. I called the customer service line and they tried getting in contact with the property. They informed me that they could not make the change, again it had to be the manager but told that the manager would definitely be there at 2:00 pm. When I finally spoke to a manager they told me they could not reschedule to reservation because I booked on Orbitz and needed to contact Orbitz to have them reschedule. I contacted Orbitz, who then contacted the manager themselves only to be told that the manager would not approve me rescheduling the reservation. My only option was to cancel the reservation with no refund. Save yourself the headache and the money. These people are thieves and do not care at all about customer service. I get that its a budget motel but ffs they could at least try to be better.

Best hotel staff by far

This is by far the best hotel I've stayed at in the bay area and I've been in them all. Clean , close to every thing but most of all the staff here is amazing over been here 4 months now and I've never been treated so well they really care here about there guests being happy Bridget and Oscar goes out of her way to help any one and every one they can to feel safe and have all there needs met to best of her ability . Good people from the hotel housekeepers to the front desk as well as management . Wanna say thank you for making my stay by far the best hotel experience I've had and I've been staying in hotels for the past 4 years so I've been in them all Love this location

Well kept property

I was in Tampa for the Gasparilla Knight Parade and was thinking Wesley Chapel was a bit closer, but the drive was worth it! If someone had blindfolded me and put me in the room and then asked me what chain I was at, I would not have said Econo Lodge! The room, cleanliness and overall condition of the property was impeccable, as well as the friendliness of the staff! The ONLY issue, and not really an issue, but an observation, was a small hole in the bathroom ceiling near the vent fan. I wasn't even going to mention it figuring someone else already did. Apparently not, but the desk clerk immediately filled out a maintenance slip when I told her. As for the breakfast, it was basic, but what I expected. Sausage links, scrambled eggs, pastries, cereal and fruit. The breakfast area was however a bit odd with the "kitchen area" a part of it. Unfortunately the ONLY picture I had taken of the property were these two birds I saw while going to my car! All in all a GREAT property that I would recommend if in the area!

Pleasantly surprised

We stayed one night as we were traveling through and were pleasantly surprised. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, the pillows and towels were nice and it was quiet. The breakfast consisted of eggs and sausage, toast, bagels and mini cinnamon rolls, cereal and apples. If we ever need a room in the area again we would not hesitate to stay here.
