Great staff
Well I have been here for four days and can honestly say it's been faultless, the staff have been incredible even tho covid big issue they went out of there way to help, room 217 could not be better and bed to die for, big thanks to Clare for making me walk further than I was hoping and the rest of the staff who made my pre holiday excellent
Live from your bedroom
Such a good night, we saw an Elton John tribute live from our bedroom. It was very well organised, staff where very friendly and helpful. We had a preshow meal, the food was amazing and social distancing was well planned out. Hotel felt very safe in these current time. We will definitely be attending another Live From Your Bedroom event.
Live From Your Bedroom party night
Loved everything about this. What a great idea during the current climate and lack of live events. Checked in to a themed hotel lobby, glitter balls, disco lights. For the show your rooms face onto the courtyard where the stage is set. You could use an in room app to order food and drinks so didn't even have to leave your room for anything.The windows opened really far so when showtime began you just hung out the window and sung along with everyone else. I attended 80's night which had an amazing and talented band play 2 45 minute sets with a warm up DJ beforehand and during the sets. They are hosting more night during December and a big New Year's Eve party too. Each room takes 2 people but you can also book non view rooms for other members of family or your bubble that can join you It's like having your own VIP box.
Queen - live from your bedroom
Saw this mentioned on Facebook and thought it was a great idea. Absolutely fantastic entertainment, full marks to the team for putting these events on. Booked for the Elton John event as well but unfortunately that got postponed due to current lockdown but looking forward to rescheduled event in December
Another excellent stay at Holiday Inn Gatwick Worth
I have stayed at Holiday Inn Gatwick Worth a number of times in the past and I have always had excellent experiences. My most recent visit was a four night stay in October 2020. One thing that struck me when I checked-in was the stringent Covid-19 measures in place, with hand sanitiser stations in the lobby as well as clear visual guidance measures implemented. I had a good welcome and I was recognised as a IHG Spire Ambassador member and upgraded to an Executive Room. The room was on the first floor and was quite roomy with a comfortable bed and feather pillows that I had requested through the IHG website. There seemed to be no reduction of facilities available in the room due to Covid-19 apart from the paper cup replacements. Servicing of the rooms was by request only and tea/coffee supplies were available at reception. The restaurant was closed with maintenance work being carried out. There was a certain amount of noise but nothing substantial and was all carried out at reasonable hours during the week. I enjoyed my stay again and was every bit as enjoyable as my previous stays.
