nice room but bugs , construction , no breakfast , no staff

title says it all I came in at 9 Om but had to find the night entrance then call to get a manager to check me in . nice room but bugs and construction ( that started around 6 am ) NO BREAKFAST even though I tried for 2 hours to get in had to go to the night check in even though it was morning and called twice bwaited 45 minutes or so before giving up and sliding key under glass partition

No HBO. No Wake-up call. No regular coffee, decaf only. Ice machine too far away from second building. Lobby dark and uninviting. Nice bedding. Rates are way to high for quality and service provided. Imagine being tired from a long drive and realizing right before you retire that the room phone in not operational so you can't request a wake up call. Then getting up in the morning to find that only decaf coffee is available

After searching the possibilities in the Market St area of Wilmington, and being dissatisfied with the pricing of the hotels nearby including the Hilton Hotels ( I am a Hilton Diamond Member)I decided to take a chance on the Howard Johnson's since it was getting late. To my surprise the room was newly decorated, clean and secure and the entire experience was great.

This place had roaches and the quality of the rooms were not worth the money. Do not spend your money on this place there are numerous others on the same street that looked much better. Spending the extra $25 to $50 is worth not enduring roaches

Nice upgrades, but the roaches were really bad! It wasn't just one or two but MANY babies and big ones. Needs to be sprayed thoroughly. Beds made a lot of noise and had a smell of mildew in the room. Very friendly Staff!
