Location is perfect
We stayed here on a weekend trip to walk Shrewsbury Street. Location was prefect and we could walk every where. Due to COVID, they were very safe and clean - even a sticker on our room door as we walked in! The breakfast is not a buffet and can be a bit slow (also due to COVID). There is a Catholic church within walking distance as well. Highly recommend.
Horrible arrogant and mean front desk clerk (Yunis)
We had an unexpected need for my family to go to Worcester. I called Hilton and booked (2) rooms on (1) reservation for the night. I put the reservation in my name and one of my family since we were coming from different locations. (2) members of my party arrived and the front desk clerk (Yunis) gave them a very difficult time because only (1) of them was over 21 years old. This property has a policy of 21 instead of the normal Hilton policy of 18 years old. Yunis called and told me that he needed to know EXACTLY what time I would be arriving. I told him that (1) of the party that was in front of him was over 21. He said that persons name was not on the reservation. So I called Hilton Reservations and the lady was very accommodating. She said that she would add the 21 y/o to the reservation. She even offered to call the desk at the property and advise them. Three minutes later Yunis called me on my phone extremely upset. He said that he did not care what Hilton Reservations did and that he would not accept it. He was extremely rude and told me that he will be doing his audit at 2:30 am and if I was not in that room, he would be charging me the full rack rate instead of using my Hilton points. I told my family to just leave. Obviously this person has some type of ego issue and he lets it effect his treatment of guests. The Hilton Agent simply added the 21 year old to the reservation and this angered Yunis, so he had to call me to make sure that I knew that he was in charge.
One of the best hotels in Worcester
Stayed here one night during Covid, room was spacious and very clean. Masker was very helpful at the front desk. Kitchen in the room was an added bonus. Was a little disappointed to see 2 staff members without mask, one that came to deliver items to my room and one person from housekeeping. Other than that everything was perfect, will stay here again but please ensure staff wears mask. Thank you!
More 'Dog Costly' than 'Friendly'
I just canceled my reservation at this place ... when reconfirming my reservation, I was told that there would be an additional $250 charge per night, plus a $1000 security deposit for my dog. I find this charge to be incredibly excessive! I'm bringing in a 27 lb. dog ... not a rock band!!
A bright, shining respite during troubling times
Homewood Suites Worcester is knocking it out of the park with outstanding customer service and impeccable COVID protocol. The whole place smacked of clean and conformance to guidelines and restrictions but not at a loss to welcoming hospitality. From arrival at the front desk where Masker told us what to expect through an impressively sanitized suite (the TV remotes were sealed!) to an outstanding hot breakfast served on a plate by a lovely professional woman who was very pleasant and efficient - our entire stay was safe and comfortable. The care every member of the staff showed was truly heart-warming; even the housekeeper I passed in the hall on the way out offered a smile and good cheer. Thank you, all!! Stay healthy!
