Late Night Arrival
Avaliou em 2 de março de 2016
I arrived late 1am after a very wearisome flight, long immigration lines, lost luggage, trains shutting down service. I found this hotel and booked a room from my smart phone on the train. The front desk was gracious and allowed me to check in immediately, found a problem and corrected it on the spot. The accomodations are what the japanese call "businessman hotel." The accomodations and price are perfect for this type of purpose which is what I needed. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, the shower had all the hot water I needed, the only complaint is that the bed clothes left for the guests were a little tight for me. Shampoo, soap, toothbrush, etc. was available for all the hygenic needs. And I slept well. Convenient to three Yokosuka train stations: JR Yokosuka, Keihin Kyuko Shioiri and Yokosuka Chuo, Gusto Family Restaurant, Daiei Shopper's Plaza, Doutor Coffee, Tully's Coffee, Starbucks on the bay and at Chuo, More's City Shopping Center, etc.

Travel to Yokosuka to visit the Navy base for work. Small clean room with a very small bathroom. Took some time to figure out how to control the heat. Very strick on check in time. Close to shopping center that includes a department store, restaurants, a food court, and speciality shops. With in walking distance to the Navy base.

Nice location, but a bit dated

The hotel is located close to the Shoiri station, so it is convenient when traveling by train. The staff is nice, but the hotel is a bit dated. The bed was ok, the pillow was not, although there was another pillow in the sofa that did the job. There are two breakfast alternatives, the less expensive one included 2 pieces of bread, coffee and juice. After trying it out once I bought yoghurt and bread from the store for the following morning (there is a fridge in the room). Ok but not luxurious in any way.

Check for cleanliness!

Our stay at Yokosuka was a combination business/leisure. We were not looking for plush, but cleanliness, fair pricing and accessibility were necessities. Although the rate was fair and the hotel was very near to the subway station, the two rooms our family was presented with had an overpowering, questionable smell that they tried to eliminate with a heavy deodorizer. A fresh-looking stain on the bed cover was was also noted,. We asked for a change of linens. Instead, the staff offered us an up-graded room at no charge. It was a great service resolution, however, we wondered why we weren't offered a cleaner, no-odor room initially. The hotel offers very limited restaurant service. When we chose to eat instead from their stocked "heat and eat" supply of food, we were told we must eat in our rooms and not in the restaurant since it was" reserved for the public" (we assumed paying restaurant customers, altho' no one was in there at the time.) There are likely better hotel options in town than this one.
