Beware !! Don't make a phone call to red roof inn to book a room.
1st the hotel is ok for the money. It was clean and comfortable enough for the price.. Not to be offensive but the guest a hotel in this price range attracts doesn't make the parking lot feel very safe. If your on a tight budget then this hotel will probably suit your needs. I did have a huge problem that probably isn't this particular hotels fault but red roof inns fault. I booked 2 nights on the internet with no problems. Later I thought I might stay 3 more nights. I wasn't 100% sure so I checked the hotels cancellation policy. It was 4PM the day before arrival. I got the phone number from the the hotel website. I booked 3 additional nights . No one ever told me on the phone I was booking with anyone but red roof inn and they never identified themselves as being anyone else. On Friday morning at 8 AM before the 1st additional day on Sunday I called to cancel the room. They told me I didn't book the additional nights with them I booked with expedia. No way !! They said I had to call expedia. I was furious. I called expedia, They said I didn't book with them I booked with hotel planners which is a partner or something. No Way, I've never even heard of hotel planners. Expedia transferred me to them. Hotel planners told me I was out of my cancellation period which was get this , 3 days out. They told me they have to e-mail the hotel to get a courtesy cancellation. They promised to call back in no longer than 24 hours. Then They told me I prepaid for the 3 nights and my card had been charged. No way I'd ever pre pay for a hotel room. They never called back all day long I called back several more times and kept getting the run around.. I went to the red room inn to check in for my original 2 nights. The desk clerk was nice but of little help. I checked back later that night and another desk clerk again was nice but no help. The next morning I called hotel planners again and again got the run around and another promise to call me back. Hotel planners never did call me back.I went back to the desk at the red roof inn this time I got the manager or owner. He agreed to cancel the rooms but told me I'd have to call hotel planners to tell them to call his red roof inn so I could get my money back. He was nice enough but I thought he should have called them for me or at least helped. Again I called hotel planners and told them to call the red roof inn. The next day which was Sunday I never heard from them. This was well over 48 hours after their promised within 24 hours call back 1st thing Monday morning I called again. I got a voice mail 3 different times telling me to leave a message and they'd return my call. I'm still waiting for those return phone calls. I called expedia for help after they transferred me 3 different times I finally got a live hotel planners person which was the 1st one I'd talked to 3 days earlier. She said they had cancelled the reservation but they were waiting for approval from the rate provider. I ask who was the rate provider. She said she couldn't give me that information.So she wouldn't tell me who I made the reservations with ? She told me I'd get my credit in 3-7 business days. I'm not holding my breathe. I've already documented everything with my credit card company. In 7 days I'm filling a dispute if I don't get my money back. I'm filing a better business bureau complaint or any other complaint I can against hotel planners, expedia and maybe even red roof inn. If red roof inn books a customer with a 3rd party them they should inform the customer who they are booking with. They also inform the customer of not only the new cancellation policy but also that the customer is pre paying. I'm sorry for the long rant.
2nd Time Staying Here!
I absolutely LOVE this place! Not only is the staff fenomenal, their rooms are clean and have a great smell to them. The view they have to the mall lake is just breath taking. It’s super quiet Considering how close they are to the HW and I love it. Pet friendly ! even tho they are only a One Pet policy stay, it’s perfect for me and my companion :D <3 thank you again Red Roof for making our stay as comfortable as possible and for the endless kindness see you again next year
weekend get away
its a great place to stay, the rooms are clean and is a good value. it is close to the outlet mall and next to Anna Maria Oyster Bar which is the best restaurant in the area. we have our couples get away and can sit out by the lake and enjoy the wild life as enjoy an adult beverage. hope you enjoy as much as we do.
Great remodeled hotel.New Amana AC Units
Very happy to see the new Amana AC unit digital setting to 60 with the constant fan button.Thet blast coldest air.Nice wood floors in room.Appears bathroom remodeled and entire outside looks newly painted.Monica and Arlene very nice to me at checkin.Right on a lake.There is Restaurant right next door with outside seating.Hotel has a nice pool.Close to highway but no highway noise.Seems pretty crowded with vehicles but that goes to show a popular place.They have weekly rates.Also Redipoints is you want to be rewarded for staying at Red Roofs.I was here 2 years ago.Place looks way way better now.
Our room was clean neat and very comfy, had a microwave and fridge. Bathroom was really clean, staff was great. Pool area was clean and the pool was good, we loved it, very happy with our stay, we will be back...
