Horrific experience, awful staff and hotel, not central location or abides by covid law

If you’re reading this, then please make this the review you take notice of. Avoid this hotel at all costs. Sleep in a tent or in the street if you have too, because this won’t just be a bad experience but it will be an experience you wish you never had.
We stayed for almost a week but had to leave early and loose our money. The first receptionist was rude and lazy to start off, but we oversaw that and continued on.
First night in, we woke 4-5 times due to noise from water systems and outside the room, with an excruciating hissing sound that woke us up with shock.. this happened every night we stayed. We spoke to the receptionist asking if they could please move us room, and they said there’s nothing they can do and I’m making up lies. No sorry or anything
It got to a point after a few days we decided we can’t compromise on sleep and couldn’t stay any longer. Since they were no help we asked politely if we could leave early and get a refund because we have to sleep and we’re not enjoying our stay.
To which we were faced with extra aggression, the staff member made it clear they would not refund or cancel the room. Proceeding to call me an offensive words and said they don’t care what I have to say and continued to shout and tell me to get out the hotel if I don’t like it.
They said they’re revoking some rights at the hotel such as clean towels and clean room from here on out. It was an experience that put us in fear we weren’t sure if our stuff would be stolen or thrown out into the street if we left the room.
They have no regard for covid safety, I asked them to wear a mask when I’m talking to them and they started cursing at us and saying disgusting things about family members. The childish employee had a disgusting attitude and is very bad at his job, there was no care since we arrived and the abuse we received has shocked us to the core.
This place is ran by scum, they have no regard for covid safety, this place should be shut down and sued.
If you’re looking not to sleep, in a dirty poor hotel, not located in the centre of Milan, met by nasty and abusive imbecile staff this hotel is perfect for you!

*WORST HOTEL EVER*
I was in Milan along with my colleague to attend the HOST Milano Expo 2019 & the all the hotels were fully booked. Unfortunately, our stay could not be extended at the Milan Mariott because of overbooking so we had to look for another alternative.
This has to be the worst travel experience of my life all thanks to Hotel Calais which has to be the worst hotel in the world!
The services were disappointing & the guy at the desk wasn't an Italian local & charges us €512 for 2 nights stay for a room that had a rent of €80/ night.
The guy REFUSED TO TAKE CREDIT CARD & PROVIDE US WITH A BILL FOR OUR CASH PAYMENT.
Furthermore, he told us to carry our luggage on our own till the 2nd floor. HE REFUSED TO HELP as it wasn't his job to do!
In order to earn more money, he BARGED INTO OUR ROOM, THREATENED US TO PAY €60 MORE FOR 2 PEOPLE STAYING IN THE ROOM OR ELSE HE WILL THROW OUR LUGGAGE OUT & CALL THE POLICE.
Disgusted by the guy's behaviour, we decided to change hotels immediately the next morning .
When we finally got a room at Milan Mariott, the guy refused to give our remaining money back & abused us by saying that this is the hotel policy & the money cannot be returned!
This disgusting & rubbish place doesn't even deserve to be called a HOTEL! NO FACILITY OF ANY SORT WAS AVAILABLE.
The rooms were small, dingy & did not have even the most basic facilities.
HOTEL CALAIS should be avoided at all costs by my fellow travellers & such people & places put the Italians and Italy as a whole to shame because of their inhuman behaviour!

It s the most terrible hotel in the world. Rooms are unfinised and cloesets are without doors. Every thing is dirty. The recepcionist don t know English. They lie about paying. Don t recommend. If you can pick some other hotel.

The most unprofesional hotel I have ever been. They don t know anything about servise. Rooms are dirty and stuff don t even know any word of english. Don t go there you will be disaponted. They take money only in cash, then they also get money from your card. They don t even give you a recive.

This hotel is run by criminals. I arrived after 20 o'clock because my flight was delayed. Although the room was still free, I was not allowed to check in. No chance. Even after a long discussion. Allegedly somewhere in the AGBs it says that one cannot check in after 20 o'clock. That this is not the case at any hotel in the world: a gift. Pure rip-off. Dubious from the other star.
