That was nice!

I went to this hotel for a day and it was a cool trip. The front sign is kind of cheesy but the hotel is still pretty functional and nice enough. The receptionist was friendly and profesional. I got a king size room at last minute because of an initial room which was not prepared in time. The room was OK, the decoration, some of the equipment like the huge heater/cooler under the window, and floor would need some updating. The view on garbage and someone backyard was not great but I didn't overthink it. The bed is extremely comfortable,, there was not much noise overall and the room was overall clean (a couple of used things there and there but oh well). Overall it's a great hotel for one night in New York, just need a little bit of updating in the room and you'll get 5 stars.
Do not recommend

They have a lot of smoking rooms. Even non smoking smelled bad. A lot of cigarette and marijuana smell in the hotel and elevator. They also have 3 hour short stays. The room had no hanger, hooks or towel bars. Very disappointed. Definitely do not recommend!!!

The hotel is not located in the "best" area, but they make up for it with great service, super clean rooms and friendliness. There was also a few restaurants within walking distance that were pretty good.
STAY AWAY **HUGE Security issue*** Management doesn't care

Stay Away~ HUGE SECURITY ISSUE here and the management has no desire to hear feedback or make any corrections.
We stayed here for anniversary getaway to explore BK. okay rooms, okay location in a semi-gentrified neighborhood. still a bit of a gritty area. Upon check in, we realized when we got to the room that soemone was already in the room we were assigned to. Their bags were on the ground, tv on, and were probably in the bathroom. Needless to say, I was unnerved, went right back to front desk and asked for another room. No explanation given other than woops. My reaction of course is how do you know this isn't going to happen again? receptionist: nervous laugh.
Checked into an empty room and was getting dressed to go out; I'm shirtless in front of the mirror that is in direct line sight of the door and SOME WALkS IN OUR ROOM. they quickly muttered sorry, and left but I WAS MORTIFIED. I didnt sleep the entire night thinking someone else was going to try to walk in our room. What kind of establishment is this that not only messes up room occupancy and room keys but then refuses to receive a complaint about it/address it? I emailed and called the management THREE times with zero response.
STAY FAR AWAY.

I'd never stayed in Brooklyn before and I'd definitely stay there again if we choose to stay in Brooklyn in the future.
The room was a decent size and clean and the fee included free breakfast, PARKING (in a garage!), WiFi, coffee & tea all day, and was close to the subway. The beds were very hard, but that's typical in hotels. I would also recommend staying on the side AWAY from the beer distributor, since the trucks started going in and out VERY early, which woke us up every day in spite of using a white noise app on the phone. Perhaps if we'd put the phone by the window instead it would have been more helpful... For the price, you really can't beat it.
