“Just like home! Loved my stay, great location & wonderful staff!”

I REALLY enjoyed my stay at the Casa Linger! The pictures in the description do not do the hostel justice, it I so nice! The bunk room I was in was recently remodeled & the historical touches kept in place of the 600 year old wooden beams! The bed was comfortable, new heating, new tiled bathroom, new fully functioning kitchen with an oven too, lockers with your own key (no extra charge) and very clean! Good internet signal, excellent communication with the staff who were very helpful. I liked that there is a door code to the front entrance, so that you can come and go easily. There is a key to your bunk room, very secure. It was a very comfortable 'like home' stay for me! Once you find your way around, the public water taxi's drop right off at "Aresenal" from either airport. "ACTV or Alilaguna" are economic (15 euro one way)! Nearby the hostel area is a post office, self service laundry and market/grocery store. (in the direction away form San Marco.) Highly recommended!! Just a heads up for people with knee problems. The stairs are very steep (no elevator) it is a wonderful 600 hundred year old building that is super strong & historical. No complaints...just a heads up! :-)
Old but interesting

I received all the information(I.e. where my keys would be, code to get in, room number, etc ) via WhatsApp. Inconvenient to those who do not put their WhatsApp number or phone number on I’m sure. Cozy room. Gets cleaned. Only complaint is that I did not see a single person my entire stay. No housecleaning(probably because I was out for it), no desk reception, etc. I only had me and the 2 guests that showed up for The last day I was there. Interesting place. Stairs are a nightmare for those who can’t climb them easily. But cheap and overall nice.
Friendly staff and clean room

I stayed in a 5 person bedroom which consisted of one double bed, bunk beds, and one single bed. There was a private bathroom with a shower, toilet, mirror, and sink. The ceiling fan cooled the room and made it more comfortable. There was only one plug, but the staff provided an extension cord. The staff was very friendly and let us store our luggage for free from 9 AM until noon as we were too early to check in. This is a great location and perfect for a nights stay in Venice.
Decent but horrible stair case.Stay was good

I was unhappy about the stairs The reception uncle was pretty polite and sweet. Only problem was the room had a weird smell And no lift!! Be prepared to drag the baggage alone!!! I didn't like the smell of the room. Also they didn't even knock when we were alone. They opened it with the keys. Which was embarrassing.
The only thing that lingers is the mold smell

I can't rate this place low enough. Hands down worst accommodation in 7 mths of travel. The rooms smell like a moldy crypt and are incredibly overpriced. Entire place is filthy. Had to hold my breath any time I entered a bathroom. Put a huge damper on my experience in Venice. Surprised the city would not shut down a place like this due to mold and cleanliness issues.
